Charter of the Guild of Anshen

purported to be written by Vauri, Commander of the Order of the Sworn of Anshen in the time of Vegelin the Great. She also wrote an instruction for novices and some advice on how to handle the enemy.

Here is a glossed version.

I haven't tried to be politically correct in the translation, though the Valdyan is gender neutral: it has the common-gender pronoun lea and its compounds throughout, because it refers to a collection of people regardless of actual gender. If you care about it, please read "him/her" (etcetera) wherever appropriate.

The preamble establishes where the Guild of Anshen stands.

The code of honour tells semti how to behave towards other living beings.

Finally, the reader is warned against transgressions.
