Christian links
Other people are much better than I am at maintaining extensive collections of Orthodox links. Here are some notable ones: The Orthodox Page in AmericaLots of links to information. They say there's also an Orthodox Page in Europe, but that link leads to what seems to be a Greek generic portal site. Orthodox WorldLinksTakes you around the world, whether you're looking for a parish or a prayer. Unfortunately, this also has a strong American bias, though they advertise themselves as an international site. I've added a link to our parish there, so there's at least one more non-American site present. This site also hosts Orthodox Family Life, also American-biased, but useful and informative, with articles about different aspects of Orthodox life in the family and the parish. Orthodox NewsThe latest news from all over the Church. Independent and politically aware. SaintsIt's worth taking a look at the Orthodox Ireland page, with lives and icons of Celtic (and English) Orthodox saints. For more saints, there's the Catholic Online Saints Index (if, like me, you think St. Francis of Assisi and St. Anthony of Padua only missed being Orthodox saints because they happened to live too late). And in Dutch:Stichting InterkerkA very broad ecumenical site for the Dutch churches. |
